### Which Whisper model should I choose?
For German and other European languages we recommend Small (466 MB). For Japanese and Chinese, Medium or larger. Large v3 (2.9 GB) when accuracy matters more than speed. Tiny (75 MB) is preinstalled and cannot be deleted – good to start, less precise.

### How do I dictate with the shortcut?
Put the cursor in a text field. Default is hold ⌘⇧Space, speak, release. Exactly two modifiers plus one key. You change the shortcut in Settings under Keyboard shortcut. Open Settings with ⌘⇧Comma.

### Lifetime or subscription – what is the difference?
Lifetime is a one-time purchase and is never locked offline – dictation keeps working without a network. The subscription has a 7-day offline grace, then a validation overlay until the license can be checked again. Transcripts still stay local only. Deactivating frees the device slot.
