Privacy policy

How we process personal data when you visit nimasa.info.

2. Overview

This notice applies to the website nimasa.info. Our apps have separate privacy policies (see section 10). We use no Google Analytics and no advertising trackers. Website statistics are self-hosted and only after your consent via the cookie banner.

3. Hosting

The site is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Access generates technically necessary server logs (e.g. IP address, time, requested URL). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a stable service).

4. Cookie banner & consent (TTDSG / GDPR)

On the first visit you can choose whether to allow statistics. “Essential only” declines statistics. We store your choice in localStorage under nimasa_cookie_consent so the banner does not appear again. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR (accountability) and Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

You can change this anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

5. Website statistics (self-hosted)

With consent we collect pseudonymous usage data to improve the site. Data is stored on our server (JSONL) and not sent to third-party analytics vendors.

  • Visited pages and time on page
  • Referrer / origin (e.g. search, social, AI)
  • UTM campaign parameters from the URL
  • Device type and operating system (from the browser)
  • Clicks on App Store links
  • Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS)
  • Hashed IP address and hashed user-agent (no plaintext IPs in the stats)

The browser stores pseudonymous IDs in sessionStorage and – with statistics consent – a returning-visitor id in localStorage. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR (consent) and § 25 (1) TTDSG (storage only with consent).

Raw statistics are kept for at most 12 months, then deleted or aggregated. You can object anytime via cookie settings; we then stop storing new statistics.

6. Theme and language

Appearance (light/dark) is stored in localStorage under theme and the language under nimasa-locale so your choice persists. This is needed for the presentation and language you requested. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a usable website).

7. Contact form

If you write via /en/kontakt/ we process the data you provide (name, email, subject, message) to handle your request. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual communication) or Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Data is deleted after the request is closed unless statutory retention applies.

8. Newsletter

Optionally you can subscribe. We then process your email address. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time.

10. Privacy for NIMASA apps

Product-specific privacy notices:

WhisperType transcribes locally on the Mac. Audio is not sent to NIMASA. A subscription license is checked periodically; lifetime licenses are not locked offline. Details on the WhisperType product page.

We update this notice when the website or the law changes. The current version is always at /en/datenschutz/.
